Diamond Micro Dermabrasion
Diamond Dermabrasion provides a non-surgical skin refinish, by using sterile diamond heads to abrade or rub off the top skin layer, then vacuuming out the particles along with any dirt and dead skin.
Microdermabrasion is a simple, non-invasive procedure that revitalizes dull skin, reduces large pores, erases fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, reduces mild pigment irregularities (hyperpigmentation), stretch marks and age spots. It is as equally effective as other skin treatments and, most importantly, allows you to return to your daily routine immediately after treatment.
Diamond Microdermabrasion is generally indicated for:
- Rejuvenation of sun damaged skin - face, neck, shoulders, back, arms and legs
- Reduction of age spots.
- Minimization of blotchy skin coloring.
- Reduction of acne and superficial scars from past injury.
- Extraction of blackheads and whiteheads.
- Reduction of oily Skin.
- Improvement of overall skin health.
What is Micro Dermabrasion and what does it do?
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive mechanical exfoliation skin treatment without chemicals that removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells from the treated area. Mechanical exfoliation with diamond head propelled at high speeds across the skin's surface, along with adjustable vacuum pressure and mild suction, allows for safe, controlled exfoliation of the top layers of the epidermis. The result is an increase in blood flow and circulation throughout the treated area, stimulating cell renewal and collagen production.
What Areas Are Treated with Micro Dermabrasion?
Most patients have microdermabrasion done to the face; however, the neck, shoulders, upper back and chest are also often done.
Although microdermbrasion treatments are most often done on their own, a mini version of the treatment can also be done before a FotoFacial or laser treatment to enhance results, which can be especially beneficial for those with deep browns and melasma, as the microdermabrasion removes thin layers allowing the FotoFacial or laser to penetrate more deeply.
What is Micro Dermabrasion Treatment like?
To perform a microdermabrasion treatment, your technician begins with a deep cleasing of the skin. Next the microdermabrasion treatment is done to the treated area which takes about 15 minutes for a full face. Most people describe the treatment like a light exfoliation that feels like a cat's tongue. After this step is completed, topical vitamins and minerals will be applied. Finally sunscreen is applied to the treated area.
What Kind of Results can I Expect from Micro Dermabrasion?
This procedure removes skin debris, imperfections, blemishes, wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation on the skin.
Moderate usage of Diamond Dermabrasion, accompanied with certain skin products that penetrate through top skin layer to reach the dermis level will help to replenish natural nutrients, restore cell activity, and promote skin health.
The results after Micro Dermabrasion treatment is usually a healthy, glowing, beautiful skin.
